Minjun Kim, Head of the Mobility Business Division at Woongjin Co., Ltd. (CEO Sooyoung Lee), received the Minister’s Commendation from the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) at the 26th Software Industry People’s Day.

Software Industry People’s Day is hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and organized by the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) and the Korea AI·Software Industry Association (KOSA). The event honors individuals who have contributed to the advancement and technological innovation of the software industry and aims to boost the morale of software professionals.

Kim has overseen the development of WDMS (Woongjin Digital Mobility Solution), successfully delivering implementation projects tailored to diverse customer needs. His leadership enabled the transition of dealer management systems—previously reliant on foreign software—to a domestic solution, thereby enhancing technological independence within Korea’s mobility industry.

He was also recognized for significantly improving operational efficiency, customer experience, and data-driven decision-making through WDMS, ultimately strengthening the competitiveness of the domestic mobility sector.

Today, WDMS has grown into a leading Korean mobility solution used by approximately 19,000 users across 5,534 locations and 14 global brands, supporting end-to-end dealer operations from order and delivery to maintenance and customer management.

Kim stated, “This recognition highlights the technological capabilities of Korea’s mobility software industry. We will continue expanding WDMS into areas such as commercial vehicles, construction equipment, and robotics, while actively pursuing overseas markets including Japan and Malaysia, to further establish WDMS as a globally recognized solution.”
