Established in 1974, Kyungshin Cable is a leader in the Korean automotive cable market. The company has expanded its business areas to include industrial wires and eco-friendly vehicle components, reaching out globally. Kyungshin Cable currently operates overseas offices in the U.S., Mexico, China, and Europe, developing advanced products based on its core technologies to deliver future value to its customers. With a customer base that includes major global companies like Samsung Electronics and Hyundai Heavy Industries, Kyungshin Cable has achieved remarkable growth. 

 Customer Needs 

As Kyungshin Cable diversified its business and successfully grew its operations, it needed a flexible and robust system to support this growth. In 2015, the company set a vision to be the “Global Top 5” company and launched the “New ERP Implementation Project” to realize this vision. The goal of the project was to improve and integrate enterprise-wide processes, enhance business innovation and competitiveness, and provide a foundation for expanding its operations in China. With continuous growth, Kyungshin Cable established subsidiaries in Qingdao and Changzhou, China, aiming to accelerate global business expansion by setting up efficient business environments at each subsidiary.

 Why Woongjin and the Solution were Chosen 

Woongjin had already demonstrated its capabilities by successfully managing the SAP implementation project for Kyungshin Cable's Korean headquarters, showcasing its expertise in stable IT system deployments. As a globally recognized SAP partner, particularly for SAP Business One, Woongjin was entrusted to manage the IT system implementation for Kyungshin Cable’s overseas subsidiaries.

 Results 

By newly implementing SAP B1 ERP and MES for the Qingdao and Changzhou subsidiaries in China, Kyungshin Cable was able to improve and integrate its business processes, driving innovation and increasing competitiveness, thus laying the groundwork for further expansion in China. The company also enhanced transparency in logistics and financial data, establishing a reliable system. In the quality management area, the system contributed to quality improvement through the digitalization of quality data. Additionally, Kyungshin Cable enabled precise profitability analysis by linking business plans with standard and actual costs. The system also incorporated China-specific HR policies and payroll structures, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
