Use Case

 Company Overview 

Company L first opened in February 1980 in Sogong-dong, Seoul. Beyond its domestic locations, Company L began its global expansion in 2012, starting with the Jakarta Airport store in Indonesia. Since then, it has opened stores in Indonesia, Guam, Japan, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand, and other countries. With its online duty-free shop, Company L offers premium products and services across both online and offline channels. In 2015, Company L achieved the rank of second in the world, and it aims to become the number one duty-free retailer globally, solidifying its position as a leading company in the industry. 

 Customer Needs 

Company L sought to implement the "gloB" system, developed at its headquarters in Korea, across its overseas subsidiaries. This required standardizing the system and sequentially deploying it to four international subsidiaries.

 Why Woongjin and the Solution were Chosen 

After successfully completing the IT system implementation project for the duty-free shop at Kansai Airport in Japan, Woongjin was selected for this project based on its deep understanding of duty-free shop processes.

 Results 

Throughout this project, Company L implemented the key modules of SAP's FCM domain, including FI (Financial Accounting), CO (Controlling), and TR (Treasury). To support smooth financial operations in each country, Woongjin built an interface for account statement inquiries and fund transfers with 11 banks via SWIFT code. Woongjin also designed and implemented the optimal system tailored to each country's local environment, ensuring future compatibility with the MD system that will be applied globally.
