Company C is a leading logistics company in Korea, rapidly growing as a comprehensive logistics service provider in the global market. With a global expansion strategy, the company continues to establish overseas subsidiaries and increase revenue, offering logistics solutions optimized for various industries.

 

 Customer Needs 

With the number of subsidiaries and revenue increasing sharply under the company’s global expansion strategy, company C needed to invest in IT infrastructure to support its external growth and business diversification. As the global business expanded, performance degradation of existing systems and complexity in integrated management emerged as issues. The need to manage multiple subsidiaries and systems under a unified structure became more pronounced. Additionally, the outdated systems lacked proper data management and standardization, creating challenges in real-time management and global collaboration. In response, company C sought to build a modern and stable overseas SAP system to support its ongoing growth and achieve its goal of becoming one of the "Global TOP 5" by 2020.

To address these challenges, company C chose to convert and newly implement its overseas systems into SAP S/4HANA. This solution provides the necessary performance to process data in real-time while adhering to global standards for integrated management. It also enables company C to respond flexibly to the expansion and changes of its overseas subsidiaries.

 

 Results 

Following the implementation of SAP S/4HANA, company C simplified and standardized its master data system through instance integration. The company centralized the management of master data, enhancing data consistency between subsidiaries and systems. A continuous monitoring system was established to maintain a robust master data structure even during subsidiary expansion or changes, ensuring stable operations. Additionally, through ongoing upgrades of the S/4HANA system, functional stability was improved, and operational efficiency significantly increased by simplifying data models in areas such as accounting management, inventory management, and sales documentation.
