Under Armour is a global sports brand that manufactures and sells performance apparel, footwear, and equipment. Headquartered in the U.S., Under Armour Korea was established in 2016, marking the company’s direct entry into the Korean market. As of 2023, Under Armour Korea operates around 100 stores nationwide and has generated sales in the trillion-KRW range. 

 

 Customer Needs 

In the early stages of its entry into the Korean market, Under Armour faced operational difficulties due to the absence of an internal system. As sales grew, the company needed to streamline its business processes. Efficient management of store operations and real-time information sharing between headquarters and stores became critical for effective operation.

 

 Why Woongjin and the Solution were Chosen 

To address these challenges, Under Armour decided to implement SAP Business One. This solution offered an integrated system that covered accounting and logistics management, localized for the Korean market. It also consolidated various functions such as sales, commissions, and logistics management, enabling more efficient operations. The tailored solution was selected to meet the company’s needs, considering SAP’s global expertise and Under Armour’s growth objectives.

 

 Results 

Following the implementation of SAP Business One, Under Armour was able to process data related to sales and commissions with greater accuracy, significantly improving operational reliability. Additionally, the integrated information system between headquarters and stores enabled more structured and consistent management, providing a stable foundation for continued growth in the Korean market.
