Company Overview
Founded in 1969, M has grown into a global food company shaping the evolution of Korea’s dairy and nutrition industry. The company’s portfolio spans infant formula, dairy products, beverages, and senior nutrition, consistently delivering premium products that support healthier lifestyles. As global supply chains continue to transform, M has accelerated its logistics digitalization initiatives to ensure greater agility and operational resilience.
Challenges
As the business expanded across multiple product lines and logistics hubs, warehouse operations were being run on different WMS solutions. This fragmentation made it difficult to standardize processes, maintain governance, and gain an integrated view of logistics performance. With the SAP WM module approaching its End of Support (EOS), transitioning to a modern platform became essential. The lack of mobile-enabled, real-time task execution further limited field responsiveness and end-to-end visibility across the supply chain.
Why Woongjin and the Solution were Chosen
Woongjin proposed an SAP S/4HANA 2023–based EWM platform designed to unify all warehouse operations under a single, standardized model. With extensive WMS and EWM implementation experience in the food and distribution sector, Woongjin proposed a solution that addressed the limitations of the legacy SAP WM environment and streamlined nationwide operations. Mobile device integration enabled real-time warehouse execution, ensuring faster, more accurate processes aligned with the needs of a fast-moving food supply chain.
Key Results
With SAP EWM as the new foundation, logistics operations running on separate systems were brought together into a single platform—dramatically reducing complexity and improving process governance. Mobile-based real-time execution increased the accuracy and speed of inbound and outbound processing, while live tracking of warehouse activities helped reduce on-site errors. The result is a more visible, efficient, and scalable supply chain that empowers M to support future growth and rapidly evolving logistics scenarios.
