Company Overview
L is the Korea subsidiary of a global beauty brand group, offering a diverse portfolio that spans luxury to mass-market cosmetics. The company reaches customers through various channels—including offline retail and major online commerce platforms—and has expanded its business scope through the acquisition of a fashion and beauty retailer known as “S.”
Challenges
The brand acquisition left L operating with multiple disconnected systems for sales, materials, and inventory management. This fragmentation made it difficult to consolidate data, conduct integrated analysis, and build unified strategies across brands. Securing aligned, reliable data for strategic planning and performance evaluation was challenging, and split FCM organizational structures made consolidated reporting nearly impossible.
Why Woongjin and the Solution were Chosen
Woongjin brought extensive ERP experience with multinational consumer brands in Korea, along with a deep understanding of brand integration and unified retail operations. With SAP ECC 6.0 as the foundation, Woongjin established a single operating model while defining an integrated sales planning process supported by APO. The project also included designing quality management standards aligned with global HQ requirements—resulting in a practical, operations-ready system that met L’s real business needs.
Key Results
Through this project, L consolidated multiple brand-specific systems into a single ERP environment, integrating product, customer, and sales data into one source of truth. This improved the accuracy of performance analysis and demand forecasting. With APO integration, the company gained the ability to create brand- and channel-specific sales plans, while previously manual quality management tasks were automated through SAP’s standardized features—enhancing both operational efficiency and customer trust.
Internally, the unified reporting structure strengthened collaboration across departments, and the company secured an operating foundation that satisfies the quality standards required by L’s global headquarters.
