Company Overview
M is a precision medical biotechnology company that provides personalized healthcare services based on genetic and genomic analysis. Since its founding in 1997, the company has led the domestic DNA and genome analytics market while building strong competitiveness globally. Its major services include genomic analysis, disease diagnostics, and personalized treatment planning. With expertise accumulated through its SAP Business One–based headquarters system, M has continued to roll out a global ERP structure as new subsidiaries are established.
As part of its global expansion strategy, the company also introduced FCM and EIS integration to consolidate overseas sales and performance data into headquarters, enabling standardized sales planning and enterprise-wide analytics.
Challenges
To support its global growth, M had already standardized and integrated core operations at headquarters through SAP Business One. The next step was extending this framework to Europe and Japan. However, the overseas subsidiaries managed accounting, operations, and reporting independently, creating inconsistencies with headquarters data and making consolidated performance management difficult.
Differences in reporting formats, operational processes, and local data structures led to fragmented performance tracking. To establish a unified global governance model, M needed to align its overseas subsidiaries with headquarters-standard master data, reporting rules, and operational workflows through an ERP expansion based on the proven HQ system.
Why Woongjin and the Solution were Chosen
M selected Woongjin to lead the global expansion project, continuing the partnership established during the headquarters implementation. Woongjin brought extensive experience deploying SAP Business One for overseas subsidiaries and a deep understanding of designing HQ–subsidiary integration structures. Its ability to incorporate local language, regulations, and operational differences enabled efficient rollout of a unified global ERP standard.
Key Results
With the alignment of the European and Japanese subsidiaries to headquarters standards, sales, revenue, and cost data are now automatically integrated into the HQ ERP system, and reporting formats have been fully unified. Headquarters can access monthly revenue, profit, and budget-versus-actual performance across regions in real time, significantly improving communication and decision-making speed.
The consolidated ERP environment enables rapid response to evolving customer demands, while enhanced system flexibility supports scalable global operations. This project strengthened M’s foundation for sustainable growth in a rapidly changing global healthcare market.
