Sonova, a hearing aid manufacturer headquartered in Switzerland, is a globally recognized leader in the field of auditory technology. The company operates several key brands and offers innovative hearing solutions, ranging from hearing aids and cochlear implants to wireless accessories. Sonova established its Korean branch in 2009.
Customer Needs
Sonova faced difficulties in accurately tracking inventory and sharing information seamlessly across departments. Redundant data entry and inconsistencies resulted in reduced operational efficiency, and the lack of a system to automatically track and manage KPIs undermined the reliability of management data. Additionally, the time-consuming processes for stock intake and expense entry created limitations in increasing the overall speed of business operations. These issues highlighted the need for an integrated enterprise system and improved information management.
Why Woongjin and the Solution were Chosen
In line with global policies, Sonova selected SAP Business One and chose Woongjin, given our extensive experience with SAP Business One implementation. By integrating Woongjin’s various add-on solutions, the company was able to tailor its management systems to fit its specific needs. Notably, the integration with its proprietary hearing aid programs, the development of production performance tracking program, and KPI monitoring functionalities helped simplify complex workflows and enhance real-time information management.
Results
The introduction of the SAP ERP system greatly improved inventory accuracy, while the use of a barcode system minimized inventory-related errors. Transparency has been ensured across all stages, from order placement to shipment, leading to enhanced productivity and efficiency. Furthermore, the integration of the I/F system eliminated redundant tasks, streamlining operations. With the web-based KPI monitoring feature, executives gained real-time access to key performance indicators, enabling faster decision-making. This project also integrated CMS, SMS, and courier services. Throughout this project, communication was further improved, ensuring that critical information was quickly conveyed. As a result, business processes became significantly faster and more efficient.
